1. Community Standards
Ads must not violate Facebook's Community Standards:
- Authenticity: Content must not be misleading.
- Safety: No threatening or exclusionary language.
- Privacy: Must not infringe on individual privacy rights.
- Dignity: No harassment or actions that demean others.
2. Illegal Products or Services, War, Weapons, Ammunition, Explosives, Violence
Ads must not promote illegal products, services, or activities, including war, weapons, ammunition, explosives, weapon modification accessories, or content related to violence.
3. Discriminatory Behavior
Ads must not contain discriminatory content, including discrimination based on race, skin color, national origin, religion, age, gender, family status, disability, or illness.
4. Alcohol, Tobacco, Drugs, and Related Products
Ads must not promote the sale or use of alcohol, tobacco, stimulants, addictive substances, or related products, such as alcoholic beverages, marijuana, e-cigarettes, vaping devices, or products simulating smoking behavior.
5. Online Gambling, Apps, Casino Games
Ads must not promote content related to gambling games, apps, online betting, or casino games.
6. Unsafe Supplements
Ads must not promote the sale or use of supplements deemed unsafe by Facebook.
7. Online Pharmacies, Aesthetics, Cosmetics, and Medications
Ads must not promote online or offline pharmacies, aesthetics, cosmetics, or medications, including prescription and over-the-counter drugs or pharmaceuticals.
8. Adult Products or Services
Ads must not promote the sale or use of adult products, services, or pornographic content.
Contraceptives and family planning ads may only target users 18+ and must not focus on sexual pleasure.
9. Third-Party Violations, Branded Content
Ads must not contain content that violates the rights of any third party, including brands, copyrights, trademarks, privacy, publicity, or other personal or proprietary rights.
10. Sensational Content
Ads must not contain shocking, sensational, provocative, or excessively violent content, such as violent language, depictions of mutilation, torture, accidents, or pimple-popping scenes.
11. Personal Attributes
Ads must not reference personal attributes, directly or indirectly, including race, ethnicity, religion, beliefs, age, gender, health, disability status, financial status, voting status, criminal history, or an individual’s name.
12. Misinformation and Controversial or Misleading Content
Ads must not promote content flagged as inaccurate by authoritative or expert sources, fraudulent claims, falsehoods, or content causing controversy or misunderstanding.
13. Political, Social, or Election Issues
Ads must not exploit crises, political or social issues, or elections for commercial purposes.
14. Non-Functional Landing Pages
Ads must not direct users to non-functional landing pages, such as broken websites, sites under construction, low-trust-ranked pages, PDFs, JPEGs, or pages unrelated to the advertised product/service or redirecting to www.facebook.com.
15. Fraudulent and Deceptive Practices
Ads must not promote products or services that facilitate fraudulent or deceptive activities, such as hidden filming, hacking software, cracking tools, or fake documents.
16. Grammar, Profanity, Sensitive or Vulgar Language, and Slang
Ads must not contain profanity, sensitive or vulgar language, slang, or grammatically incorrect content with improper punctuation. Symbols, numbers, and letters must be used correctly and not to evade moderation.
17. Non-Existent Features
Ads must not include images of non-existent features or non-functional elements, such as mockups mimicking Facebook features or copied button designs.
18. Personal Health
Ads must not include “before and after” images or promote content that fosters negative self-perception to advertise diet, weight loss, or health-related products.
19. Payday Loans, Prepaid Fees, and Bail Bonds
Ads must not promote payday loans, unsecured loans, bail bonds, or short-term loans (up to 90 days) intended to meet someone’s spending needs.
20. Multilevel Marketing
Ads must not promote quick-profit, low-investment business models, including multilevel marketing. Income opportunity ads must fully describe the business model or related products.
21. Coin Auctions, Cryptocurrency Products, and Services
Ads must not promote coin auctions, bidding-style auctions, or similar business models, nor cryptocurrency trading products and services.
22. Low-Quality or Disruptive Content
Ads must not contain content leading to external landing pages that provide unwanted or disruptive experiences.
23. Spyware or Malware
Ads must not contain spyware, malware, or related software.
24. Animated Content
Ads must not include flashing animations or auto-playing audio without user interaction.
25. Prohibited Financial Business Practices, Products, and Services
Ads must not use deceptive or misleading tactics, including scams targeting money or personal information. Financial products and services often associated with confusing or fraudulent advertising are prohibited.
26. Circumventing Systems
Ads must not use tactics to bypass the ad review process.
27. Sale of Body Parts
Ads must not promote the sale of human body parts.
28. Discouraging Vaccines
Ads must not discourage vaccination or oppose vaccines.
